Illustrate-it Competition

1- For each month, a short story will be the subject - theme - of that month's competition.
2- The characters of that short story should be illustrated which is the goal of all these competitions.
3- ITS Groups will produce an animation - which will be free to share on all platforms - from the "short-story."
4- Winning illustrations will be turned into an animated video by our animators.
5- Name and illustration of the winner(s) will display on the crew list at the end of the animated video and will publish in e-magazine through Amazon + £20 -The prize send via PayPal.
It is not easy for anyone to produce animated video and be the animator of an animation. But this contest allows you to achieve your dream, and in the end, you can build a very successful profile for yourself. Seeing your illustrations play roles in an animation opens up a whole new world for you.

Making videos and designing and producing animations from the submitted designs requires a lot of time and cost, but by encouraging talented people, and valuable animation production, our team will achieve its goal.


What are these videos?
These videos introduce famous short stories in the world and will be free for watching, and available to the children all over the world. If there is an Impressive short story in your language or and country, you can share it with us to produce animations for the coming months. The characters should be simple 2D line drawings or cartoons. All characters must be drawn individually on a white page without any background or colour. Drawing or Digitally created images. 


Open worldwide to all young illustrators. (Under 18 years old)


The Prize:

£20 + Using the illustrations on a 2D animation with the Name/illustration of the winner on the crew list+ publication

  • ITS Groups will produce an animated video from the short story, and the winning illustrations will use as the main characters of that video. Name/illustration of the winner(s) will display on the crew list at the end of the animation.

  • ​The winner's illustrations for each competition will publish in e-magazine through Amazon.

The Rules:

Make sure to read ALL the main Rules of the competition.


  • This competition is a combination of reading, illustration, competing and creativity. 

  • The videos will release 2-3 months after the end of each competition.

  • The illustrations should not be published before.

  • The Closing date is at the end of each month by 23.59 UK time on that day.

  • Winner(s) will be notified by 15th next month and announce here and on the Facebook page.

  • Entrants should submit one illustration per character once registered. And the characters could be of any race and age. It means that if a story has 4 characters, you have to illustrate those 4 characters once you register.


  • Entrants may submit as many illustrations per character as they wish, but each design must submit as a separate entry with another entry form. It means that if you want to submit two designs for one character such the "prince" in current competition, you have to submit it as a separate entry with another entry form.

  • This competition is open to anyone under 18 years old in the world.

  • Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant. 

  • Entries will accept only online via the competition website. Submission via other means (e.g. by email or in hard copy by post) will not be accepted.

  • Amendments cannot be made to entries after they have been submitted.

  • ITS Groups reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of these Rules, or made a false declaration on the entry form.

  • Electronic entries received after the closing date, will not be accepted, and entry fees will not be reimbursed.

  • BE VERY CAREFUL! Make sure your design shows enough elements that connect to the character. We want the key elements for this theme to be clear and recognisable, and not twisted in a way that makes it unintelligible.

  • Each character must be drawn individually on a white paper without any background. Just a simple 2D line drawings/cartoons or Digitally created images. 

  • To send entries, scan it at 300 dpi.

  • The low-quality illustration will exclude from the competition.

  • Entry indicates acceptance of these rules.
